The Windsor Knights are a Redwood Police Activity League program and a founding member of the North Bay Youth Football and Cheer Association. The Windsor Knights were founded 1990 and have been under that same leadership since 1992, with Jim Hanson as President. The Knights have sent talented football and cheer squads to the playoffs and competitions every year. Each team practices on local football fields, but play their home games at Windsor High School.
The Knights schedule eleven games a year, playing teams from Ukiah, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Sebastapol, Rohnert Park, Petaluma, Dixon and San Marin. Each team can field a maximum of 35 players, and the cheer squads average about 15 cheerleaders.
The Windsor Knights work closely with Windsor High School Varsity coaches both in Cheer and Football, school officials and the Booster Club to develop a seamless transition for our children to advance through the program and reach High School. The Knights are celebrating 20years of youth football and cheer this season and look forward to making it a season to remember!
